Our story

Started in a kitchen, not a lab.

Dermabelles began in 2019, the year our founder Mira Ostrowska decided she'd had enough of skincare that promised the world and delivered a rash. She started blending oils on her kitchen counter for friends. Six years later, those formulas live on shelves in twelve countries — and they're still made the same slow way.

Founder

Mira Ostrowska

I trained as a cosmetic chemist at the University of Łódź and spent eight years formulating for brands you've heard of. I left because I kept being asked to put eleven actives in a bottle that needed three.

Dermabelles is the brand I always wanted to work for. Short ingredient lists. Honest sourcing. Real conversations with real people about their skin. We will never grow into something that loses that thread.

Considered.

We launch one or two products a year, never more. If something doesn't earn its place on the shelf, it doesn't go on the shelf.

Honest.

Every formula on our site lists every ingredient and what it does. No mystery 'complexes', no jargon.

Personal.

Every customer is invited to a complimentary 15-minute consultation in their first ninety days with us.

Sourcing

We know every farm by name.

Our chamomile is grown by the Hassan family outside Fayoum. Our rosehip comes from a women's cooperative in the Bío Bío valley. Our marula is wild-harvested by the Eudafano collective in Namibia. We buy directly, we pay fairly, and we publish our prices.
